Crab Salad
This Crab Salad blends flaked imitation crab meat with crunchy celery, red onion, and fresh dill in a creamy mayonnaise dressing. Mild seasoning with Old Bay, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper provides balanced flavor. It can be served chilled as a light meal or a side.
Ingredients
- 1 pound imitation crab meat flaked style, or sticks cut into slices
- 1/2 cup celery finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons red onion finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dill chopped, plus more for garnish, fresh
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl. Stir gently to combine.
- Serve immediately, or cover and chill for up to 2 days.
- Sprinkle with additional chopped dill for garnish if desired.
Notes
- Flaked imitation crab meat is convenient; alternatively, slice stick-style crab meat yourself.
- Fresh dill enhances flavor better than dried; substitute 1/2 teaspoon dried if needed.
- Use low-fat mayonnaise if a lighter dressing is preferred.
- Chill salad before serving and consume within 2 days for best freshness.
