Ingredients

  • 6 lices Bacon
  • 8 ounces cream cheese cut into small pieces
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 ounce Ranch dressing mix (1 packet)
  • 2 cups chicken chopped or shredded, cooked
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup green onion thinly sliced
  • 12 hawaiian rolls
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon chives thinly sliced

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lay bacon on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Remove from oven and let cool before chopping. (see note)
  2. Turn oven to 350 degrees F and place a large pot over medium heat.
  3. Add cream cheese, chicken broth, and ranch mix to the pot. Cook until cream cheese is melted and mixture is smooth, whisking often.
  4. Add bacon, chicken, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, and green onions to cream cheese mixture. Stir to mix.
  5. Cut rolls in half so you have tops and bottoms. Place bottom half of rolls on a baking sheet.
  6. Spread chicken mixture over roll bottoms. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup cheddar over the filling. Top with the top half of the buns.
  7. Melt butter & stir in garlic. Brush over buns. Sprinkle Parmesan and chives over buns.
  8. Bake sliders for 8-10 mins until cheese is melty and tops are golden. Remove from oven. Cool slightly and then cut into 12 sliders before serving.

Notes

  • The chicken can be pre-cooked, use rotisserie chicken (skin removed), or bake boneless skinless breasts alongside bacon at 425°F for 18-20 minutes.
  • Cutting the cream cheese into small pieces helps it melt smoothly into the sauce.
