  • 12 hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 bricks (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup diced chives plus 1 tablespoon for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded (I use a rotisserie chicken)
  • 8 lices Bacon cooked and chopped
  • 6 lices Colby jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese grated

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F.
  2. Prepare a 9x13 baking pan by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Cut Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottoms in your prepared baking pan.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add chicken broth, 1⁄4 cup chives, garlic salt, onion powder, pepper. Mix well.
  6. Add chicken and bacon. Stir again.
  7. Spread chicken mixture over top of Hawaiian rolls.
  8. Top with slices of cheese.
  9. Place tops of Hawaiian rolls on top.
  10. Brush melted butter over top of the rolls.

  12. Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.

Notes

  • Hawaiian buns usually come connected to one another in a sheet. To make slicing them quick and easy, cut the entire sheet in half all at once!
  • Mix all the other crack chicken ingredients before adding the bacon and chicken to ensure the base is fully combined.
  • If you're worried about your sliders getting soggy if your guests don't finish them all, toast the insides of the buns in a skillet before adding the filling. This helps create a barrier against the moisture in the crack chicken filling.
