Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup fresh cranberries halved
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg until well blended. Mix in the vanilla, orange zest and orange juice.
- In a separate bowl, stir in the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and stir. Stir in cranberries and walnuts, until evenly distributed. Drop dough by round tablespoons onto non-stick cookie sheets. Cookies should be spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on wire racks.
