Cranberry Orange Sangria
Cranberry Orange Sangria blends a homemade cranberry syrup with chilled chardonnay, fresh orange slices, whole cranberries, and a cinnamon stick. The syrup is prepared by boiling cranberries with sugar and water to extract deep berry flavor and vibrant color. After chilling the mixture, the sangria offers a fruity, slightly spiced white wine cocktail perfect for gatherings or relaxing.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup cranberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 orange sliced
- 1/2 cup cranberries
- cinnamon stick
- 1 bottle chardonnay
Instructions
- Combine the water, cranberries and sugar in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil for 10-15 minutes, while the cranberries pop and release juices.
- Strain the mixture to remove the cranberries and leave a cranberry sugar syrup.
- Combine the syrup with the orange, remaining cranberries, cinnamon stick and wine in a pitcher.
- Chill for at least 3-4 hours and serve.
