Cranberry sangria

This cranberry sangria is a tasty seasonal twist on the classic, easy to make and perfect for serving a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange
  • ½ apple
  • 1 bottle red wine (1 bottle being 25oz) suggest relatively full bodied
  • 3 cups cranberry juice
  • ¾ cup apple cider
  • 2 oz triple sec
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cut the apple and orange into thin slices and put in a pitcher. Add the wine, cranberry juice, apple cider, triple sec and lemon juice and stir to mix. Chill until needed then serve over ice, with a few pieces of fruit in each glass. 

Notes

  • Note - if you want to make extra festive ice cubes, add a couple of cranberries to each cube as you fill them up with water before freezing.
