Cranberry Vinaigrette Salad Dressing
This Cranberry Vinaigrette combines olive oil, tart cranberry sauce, and red wine vinegar with Dijon mustard and maple syrup for sweetness. The dressing offers a balance of tangy, fruity, and mildly sweet flavors, emulsified into a smooth consistency ideal for brightening salads. It is quick to prepare and can be stored for future use.
Ingredients
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Add olive oil, cranberry sauce, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard and maple syrup to a large mixing bowl.
- With a stick blender, pulse the salad dressing until fully blended. This can also be pulsed in a blender or food processor.
- Add salt and pepper, and blend with a whisk. Poor the dressing over the salad if eating immediately, or pour into a jar with a lid. The dressing can separate over time, so give the dressing a good shake in a closed container before pouring on the salad. Then enjoy!
Notes
- The recipe yields approximately 1½ cups of salad dressing, suitable for multiple servings.
- Use a stick blender, regular blender, or food processor to fully emulsify the dressing for best texture.
- If the dressing separates during storage, shake or whisk well before using.
- Keep the dressing refrigerated and consume within a reasonable timeframe for freshness.
