Cream Cheese Mints

Cream Cheese Mints combine softened cream cheese with confectioners' sugar and peppermint extract, rolled thin and cut into small circles. These mints harden over a few hours, becoming firm and suitable for gifting or snacking. The optional red or green food coloring adds a festive touch, making them popular for holidays or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces  cream cheese , softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon  Peppermint
  • 3 cups  confectioners' sugar , divided
  • red food coloring 5 drops of each (optional, or green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Add the cream cheese and extract to a stand mixer.
  2. Beat in the powdered sugar.
  3. Knead the dough for 1 minute (add desired food coloring).
  4. Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Cut out circles with 1" circle cookie cutter.
  6. Let harden for 2-3 hours before storing.
