Ingredients

  • 1/2 onion , finely chopped
  • 6 cups sweet corn , yellow
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the onion, corn, and butter to a large skillet and cook on medium heat until the onions are translucent, about 6-8 minutes.
  2. Add in the sugar, heavy cream, salt, and pepper and stir.
  3. Cook uncovered, stirring, for 7-8 minutes until the mixture is thickened.
