  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups half-and-half
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups frozen peas

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour until smooth, forming a roux.
  3. Gradually add the half-and-half, whisking continuously to prevent lumps, until mixture is smooth and begins to thicken.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce, adjusting to taste.
  5. Stir in the frozen peas and continue to cook until the peas are heated through, about 5 minutes. Add more half-and-half to thin the sauce if needed.
