Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 sweet onion , chopped
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 20 ounces fresh spinach
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese , finely gratd
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Fine sea salt and ground pepper
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a heavy bottom saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, sauteing for 3-4 minutes, or until it starts to soften.
- Stir in the garlic, sauteing for an additional minute.
- Stir in the spinach, tossing to coat and allowing it wilt.
- Add the nutmeg, Parmesan cheese and heavy cream. Toss to combine and allow the sauce to thicken.
- Season the spinach with fine sea salt and ground pepper to taste.
