Creamy Lemon French Toast
Warm french toast topped with sweet lemon cream can be served for a delicious breakfast, brunch, or even dessert!

Ingredients
for the french toast:
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 6 lices white sandwich bread
- butter for frying
for the lemon cream:
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- fresh strawberries for garnish
- powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat nonstick skillet over medium heat. Melt half a tablespoon of butter into the bottom.
- In a shallow dish, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon together. Dip 1-2 slices of bread into the egg mixture and place into hot pan. Cook 1 minute per side or until browned. Continue this method until all french toast is cooked.
- For the lemon cream: whip all the ingredients together until smooth.
- Spread some lemon cream over each slice of french toast and top with sliced strawberries and/or powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
