Crispy Cheddar Chicken
I loved how the Ritz crackers gave it a delicious crunch and the cream sauce on top was amazing. This is definitely a meal that will please the family and everyone will love.
Ingredients
Crispy Cheddar Chicken
- 4 chicken breast about 4 pounds, large
- 2 leeves Ritz crackers
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup milk whole
- 3 cups cheddar cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon parsley dried
Cream Sauce:
- 1 (10-ounce) cream of chicken soup canned
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cut each chicken breast into 3 equal pieces and set aside. In a food processor pulse the the Ritz crackers into crumbs.
- place the cracker crumbs into a bowl, the milk into a separate bowl, and the cheese into a third bowl. Whisk the salt and pepper into the crumbs.
- Dip chicken pieces first in the milk, then roll in the cheese, pressing the cheese into the chicken breast, and lastly roll the chicken into the cracker crumbs.
- Lay the breaded chicken into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top of the coated chicken with the dried parsley.
- Cover the pan with tin foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the chicken temps out to 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the chicken is baking, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, butter, and sour cream until heated through.
- Once the chicken is done, serve the cream sauce over the chicken and enjoy!
