Crispy Tempeh Recipe

If you have an air fryer, you need to try this recipe! The tempeh comes out crispy, filling and incredibly flavorful. Plus, it’s quick to make, so a great choice for those busy weeknights! We think this will be a new family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 8- ounce tempeh package
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil of choice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil toasted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the tempeh into 1-inch cubes and set aside in a mixing bowl.
  2. Into the bowl add the neutral oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder and salt before tossing to mix and letting it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  4. In a single layer on the air fryer basket or tray surface, place the tempeh cubes.
  5. Air fry for 15 minutes when tempeh is firm and crispy with a golden color.
  6. Remove and let it cool for a few minutes and serve!
