Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup mini carrots
  • 1/2 pound (250g) bottom eye roast or bottom round roast, diced into 1" (2.5cm) cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
  • 1 cup water
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, add all the ingredients in the listed order, except for the green onions.
  2. Turn the crockpot to low and allow the stew to cook for 8 hours. Halfway through the cooking time, stir the ingredients to ensure they are evenly seasoned.
  3. Serve the stew over white rice and top with green onions, if desired.

Notes

  • For a quicker cook time, increase the crock pot temperature to high and cook for 4 hours.
