Crock-Pot Pork Chops
Crock-Pot Pork Chops slow-cooked in a seasoned broth with pork gravy mix, onion and garlic powders, and black pepper result in tender meat with a savory sauce. The finishing step incorporates cornstarch and cream to thicken and enrich the sauce, creating a smooth, creamy coating that complements the mild pork flavor. Cooking low and slow helps maintain moisture and tenderness.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds pork chops boneless
- 1 (0.87-ounce) Pork Gravy Mix packet
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- ½ teaspoon black pepper ground
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Add 1 (0.87-ounce) packet pork gravy mix, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 cup beef broth, and ½ teaspoon ground black pepper to a 4 or 7-quart slow cooker and stir to combine.
- Add 2 pounds boneless pork chops and submerge them in the liquid as best you can.
- Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours.
- About 10 minutes before serving, combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water in a small bowl and add it to the slow cooker along with ¼ cup heavy whipping cream. Stir until combined, then cover and cook for 10 more minutes to allow the sauce the thicken before serving.
Notes
- Feeds 4-6 servings, depending on appetite.
- Searing pork chops before slow cooking is optional but adds browning and flavor.
