Crock Pot Pulled Pork Recipe
The Crock Pot Pulled Pork Recipe results in tender, flavorful pork shoulder slow-cooked with basic seasonings, onion, and a blend of chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce. Cooking low and slow allows the meat to shred easily and absorb the tangy, savory sauce, making it ideal for sandwiches served on toasted buns.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1/2 onion chopped, large
- 1 Tbsp black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup barbecue sauce we used Stubb's Sticky Sweet, your favorite
- 6-7 lbs pork shoulder boneless chuck roast
- 1 Tbsp garlic minced
- 20 Hamburger Bun we love to toast them
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a 6 quart crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- Shred.
- Stir in more bbq sauce if desired.
- Serve on toasted buns.
Notes
- You can substitute pork loin for pork shoulder, but expect a leaner result.
- Use meat on hand or choose cuts on sale to save cost without impacting slow cooker convenience.
- Freeze leftover pulled pork for easy future meals.
