Crock Pot Pulled Pork Recipe

Report
The Crock Pot Pulled Pork Recipe results in tender, flavorful pork shoulder slow-cooked with basic seasonings, onion, and a blend of chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce. Cooking low and slow allows the meat to shred easily and absorb the tangy, savory sauce, making it ideal for sandwiches served on toasted buns.

Description

This pulled pork recipe uses a boneless pork shoulder cooked in a crock pot with salt, black pepper, chopped onion, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and barbecue sauce. The pork slow-cooks over 8-10 hours until it is tender enough to shred easily. The combination of liquids infuses the meat with moisture and flavor, while the long cooking time breaks down connective tissue for a soft texture.

The shredded pork can be mixed with additional barbecue sauce to taste, lending a glossy, sticky coating with a mix of savory and tangy notes. Serving it on toasted hamburger buns highlights the contrast between the soft meat and the slightly crisp bread.

This dish is well-suited for casual meals, gatherings, or batch cooking. Leftover pulled pork freezes well and can be reheated for quick sandwiches or meals. Substituting pork loin is possible but will result in leaner meat with slightly different texture.
