Crock Pot Shrimp Boil Recipe
Crock Pot Shrimp Boil is a classic shrimp boil with shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn in a flavorful buttery broth cooked in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp garlic minced
- 2 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- 2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 Tbsp parsley dried
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper ground
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 onion thinly sliced, small
- 1 1/2 lb. yellow potatoes baby
- 6 corn on the cob frozen, half ears
- 14 oz. smoked sausage sliced thick, precooked; or Cajun sausage
- 1 butter cut into 8 pieces, unsalted, stick
- 2 lbs. Shrimp I use peeled and deveined, frozen, large
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- lemon for serving; wedges for lemon
- crusty bread for serving; wedges for lemon
Instructions
- Add the chicken broth to a large slow cooker. Add the garlic, old bay, cajun seasoning, parsley, sugar, salt, pepper, and (optional) cayenne pepper. Whisk to combine.
- Add the onion, potatoes, and corn. Stir to coat the vegetables in the sauce and seasoning.
- Add the sausage and butter on top of the vegetables.
- Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
- Add the shrimp and lemon juice. Stir well. Cover and cook just until the shrimp is cooked through, 15-20 minutes.
