Crock Pot Shrimp Boil is a classic shrimp boil with shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn in a flavorful buttery broth cooked in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp garlic minced
  • 2 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp parsley dried
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper ground
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 onion thinly sliced, small
  • 1 1/2 lb. yellow potatoes baby
  • 6 corn on the cob frozen, half ears
  • 14 oz. smoked sausage sliced thick, precooked; or Cajun sausage
  • 1 butter cut into 8 pieces, unsalted, stick
  • 2 lbs. Shrimp I use peeled and deveined, frozen, large
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • lemon for serving; wedges for lemon
  • crusty bread for serving; wedges for lemon

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken broth to a large slow cooker. Add the garlic, old bay, cajun seasoning, parsley, sugar, salt, pepper, and (optional) cayenne pepper. Whisk to combine.
  2. Add the onion, potatoes, and corn. Stir to coat the vegetables in the sauce and seasoning.
  3. Add the sausage and butter on top of the vegetables.
  4. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Add the shrimp and lemon juice. Stir well. Cover and cook just until the shrimp is cooked through, 15-20 minutes.
