Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans washed and trimmed
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons parmesan grated
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 6 slices Bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Add the 1 cup onion, 2 cloves garlic, 3 tablespoons parmesan, 6 slices bacon, 2 cups chicken broth, and 2 pounds fresh green beans to a 4-quart slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Place the lid on top and cook on high for 2-3 hours or until the green beans are tender.
  2. You may remove some of the broth before serving and add more crumbled bacon and parmesan if desired.
