Cucumber Agua Fresca Recipe
Cucumber Agua Fresca is a refreshing, non-alcoholic beverage made by blending cucumber chunks, fresh lime juice, sugar, mint, ginger, and water. The smooth puree is strained to remove pulp, resulting in a crisp, lightly sweetened drink with bright citrus and cooling mint notes. Served chilled, it’s an invigorating choice for warm weather hydration.
Ingredients
- 2 English cucumber cut into chunks, large
- 1 cup lime juice 8-10 limes, freshly squeezed
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 10-15 mint leaf fresh
- 1 piece ginger 1-2 inches, fresh
- 4 cups water divided
Instructions
- Prepare all the ingredients and place in a blender jar. Add 2 cups water. Cover and blend until the mixture is very smooth.
- Place a sieve over a pitcher. Pour the agua fresca through the strainer to remove the pulp. Add the remaining 2 cups water. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
Notes
- This refreshing cucumber agua fresca is a non-alcoholic drink but can be enhanced with vodka or tequila if desired.
