Cucumber Water
Cucumber Water is a refreshing infused drink combining thinly sliced cucumber and lime with fresh mint sprigs submerged in water. The chilled infusion softens and blends crisp, herbal, and citrus flavors, making for a light and rejuvenating beverage.
Ingredients
- 0.5 English cucumber
- 0.5 lime
- 2 prigs mint fresh
- 1 quart water
Instructions
- Rinse and dry the cucumber. Slice it thinly, crosswise, into ⅛-inch slices.
- Rinse and dry the lime. Slice it thinly, crosswise, into ⅛-inch slices. Rinse and dry the mint sprigs.
- Place the cucumber slices, lime slices, and mint sprigs in a 1-quart water pitcher.
- Pour the water on top. Use a chopstick or the handle of a wooden spoon to gently stir.
- Cover and refrigerate for one hour. Serve with ice, if desired.
Notes
- Chill the infused water in the refrigerator for at least one hour for best flavor extraction.
- Using chilled water reduces infusion time to about 20 minutes.
- Store the prepared cucumber water covered in the fridge for up to two days.
