Cucumber Water
Description
This simple cucumber water recipe starts with slicing cucumber and lime very thinly to maximize flavor release into the water. Fresh mint sprigs contribute a cooling aroma and gentle taste. Letting the mixture chill for about an hour allows these flavors to meld well, creating a mildly flavored hydration option without added sugars or calories.
This beverage is best served cold over ice and can be stored in the refrigerator covered for up to two days without significant loss of freshness. Using chilled water can shorten the infusion time to about 20 minutes when time is limited.
The drink makes a pleasant alternative to plain water, useful for staying hydrated while enjoying subtle natural flavors, and pairs nicely with meals or as a standalone refreshment.
