Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups Rice Basmati
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garam masala Optional
- 1 tablespoon ghee Optional
- 3 ½ cups water
Instructions
- Thorougly wash the rice 3-4 times.
- Add the rinsed rice, water, salt, cumin seeds, garam masala, and ghee to the rice cooker.
- Stir well. Close the lid and turn the rice cooker on cooking mode.
- Once the rice indicator comes on warm mode, turn off the cooker. Gently toss the rice grains with spatula. (Most rice cookers will automatically switch to the "Warm" mode when rice is cooked).
- Garnish with cliantro if you like.
- Serve warm cumin rice cooked in rice cooker with your favorite curries and vegetables!
