Daiquiri Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces light rum
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • ice
  • Lime wheel for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker with ice. Add the rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.
  2. Cover and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
  3. If you like, garnish with a lime wheel.

Notes

  • Use that shot glass to get the balance right. You can adjust afterwards if the original ratio is not up to snuff.
  • Choose a high-quality rum.
  • Shake well... then shake some more. Aim for 15–20 seconds to ensure the ingredients are sufficiently chilled and mixed.
