Defrost Steak In Microwave

Did you know that you can defrost steak in the microwave? It’s the fastest way to defrost steak, then it is perfect for air frying or cooking on the barbecue for dinner.

  • 3 Frozen Sirloin Steaks
Kitchen Gadgets
  • Microwave
  • Steamer basket

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen steaks into your steamer basket with a tablespoon of water. Its okay if they are still in the packaging. Place the lid on the steamer basket.
  2. Place the steamer basket into the microwave.
  3. Microwave for 12 minutes on the defrost meat option.
  4. Remove the lid and take the packaging away from the steaks. The steaks should be partly thawed now and come apart. Place them back into the microwave.
  5. Microwave on defrost for a further 8 minutes or until fully thawed. They are now ready for cooking.

Notes

  • Reheating – You can also use the microwave to reheat leftover steak. It’s a great option for when you go to a restaurant and the steak is too big for you.
