Dry Rub
This homemade dry rub is perfect for all of your summer grilling needs. Made with a blend of dried spices and brown sugar, this BBQ seasoning is a great rub for chicken, pork, steak and ribs.
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoon light brown sugar packed (or coconut sugar for Paleo/Whole30)
- ½ Tablespoon smoked paprika
- ½ Tablespoon onion powder
- ½ Tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ Tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ¾ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon mustard powder dried
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, add all ingredients and mix well.
- Use as a spice rub for chicken, steak, ribs, pulled pork, or smoked meat.
Notes
- Check that your spices aren't stale before using them. Rub a little between your fingers and it should release an aroma. If it doesn't, it's time to replace it.
- Store the BBQ seasoning out of direct sunlight in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
- This seasoning is also great to use on grilled or roasted veggies!
