Ingredients

Servings
  • 3 Tablespoon light brown sugar packed (or coconut sugar for Paleo/Whole30)
  • ½ Tablespoon smoked paprika
  • ½ Tablespoon onion powder
  • ½ Tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ Tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¾ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder dried
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, add all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Use as a spice rub for chicken, steak, ribs, pulled pork, or smoked meat.

Notes

  • Check that your spices aren't stale before using them. Rub a little between your fingers and it should release an aroma. If it doesn't, it's time to replace it.
  • Store the BBQ seasoning out of direct sunlight in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
  • This seasoning is also great to use on grilled or roasted veggies!
