Easy 10-min. Chinese Broccoli with Garlic Sauce

Broccoli with Garlic Sauce. Crispy tender broccoli coated in a glossy thick garlicky sauce with umami flavours! Ready in just 10 minutes. A great vegetable side dish to get in fiber!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz broccoli florets washed and strained
Garlic Sauce:
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce or sub with vegetarian stir fry sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Regular soy sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoon Shaoxing wine or sub with Dry Sherry Wine
  • 1.5 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1.5 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¾ teaspoon white granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup water cold

Instructions

  1. Wash your broccoli florets until the water runs clear and strain them.
  2. In a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients.
  3. In a wok or large pan filled halfway with water, bring to a boil. Once it boils, blanch broccoli for 2-3 minutes or crisp and tender.
  4. Strain broccoli and transfer to a serving plate.
  5. Dry the wok or pan and set it over medium heat. Once wok is hot, pour sauce and allow this to simmer to thicken, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Once thick, pour sauce over broccoli. Serve & enjoy!
