Easy Apple and Sausage Stuffing
Easy Apple and Sausage Stuffing pairs browned breakfast sausage with sautéed onions, celery, and sweet-tart apples, combined with dried herbs and fresh parsley. Cubed day-old French bread absorbs a chicken stock, egg, and melted butter mixture before baking to a crisp golden top. This stuffing blends savory, sweet, and herbaceous flavors with moist, tender bread and a slightly crunchy surface.
Ingredients
- 6 cups French bread left out for 2 days to dry, cubed
- 1 pound pork sausage breakfast links

- 1 teaspoon thyme dried
- 1/4 cup parsley fresh, minced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground
- 1 egg
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 4 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
Instructions

- Let cool and slice into 1/2 inch slices.
- Add the onion and celery to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, until softened.
