Ingredients

  • 1 avocado 160g avocado flesh, large
  • 1 tablespoon tahini 16g
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or more, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the avocado flesh in a bowl and mash well with a fork.
  2. Stir through the tahini, lemon, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Or, add all the ingredients to a small blender and blend until smooth.

Notes

  • Mash the avocado well before mixing to ensure a smooth spread.
  • Store the spread in the fridge for up to 3 days, covering the surface with clingfilm to prevent air exposure and browning.
  • The recipe makes two portions, each roughly a generous quarter cup with about 1 gram net carbs.
