Easy Baked Sugared Nuts
Easier than Glazed Nuts, these Baked Sugared Nuts are sweet, lightly spiced and require no cooking skills! Perfect holiday recipe!
Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg I omitted this
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon cloves
- 1 egg white
- 3 cups nuts I used one each of unsalted walnuts, pecans, cashews, unsalted
Instructions
- Beat egg white until frothy.
- Add nuts and spices and stir to coat well.
- Spread out on greased 11 x 17 inch baking sheet. Bake in 250 degree oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes (or it turns out like peanut brittle)
- Cool completely. Store in airtight container. Makes 3 cups.
