Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 red onion thinly sliced
  • fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F.
  2. Butter each half of the sliced french bread and sprinkle on the garlic salt. Bake for 5-8 minutes or until the top is toasty and the edges are golden brown.
  3. Spread the BBQ sauce on each side of the bread. Top each half with 1/4 of the cheese, then the chicken then sprinkle on the rest of the cheese. Add the sliced red onion over the top.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the toppings are heated through. Top with freshly chopped cilantro and serve immediately.
