Easy Chai Tea Latte
Easy Chai Tea Latte is a warm, spiced beverage made by steeping a chai tea bag in boiling water, sweetening with sugar, then topping with foamed milk. The gentle blend of black tea and traditional chai spices complemented by creamy milk creates a comforting drink. It can be customized in sweetness and served sprinkled with cinnamon for added aroma.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup water filtered
- 1 Chai tea tea bag
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar 8 g
- ¾ cup milk any percentage
- cinnamon optional for topping
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Pour into an 8-ounce mug and steep tea bag for 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bag. Stir in sugar.
- While your tea steeps, pour milk into the pot and heat over medium heat until milk begins to steam (do not bring to a boil) whisk vigorously until foamy or use a handheld milk frother to froth milk.
- Pour most of the milk into the tea concentrate, stirring to combine before adding in the last of the milk and foam, sprinkle with cinnamon if desired, and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust sugar starting from 1 teaspoon to control sweetness.
- The recipe makes one 8-ounce latte serving; scale up for larger cups.
