Easy Chai Tea Latte
Description
This chai latte begins by brewing a chai tea bag in boiling filtered water for five minutes to extract characteristic flavors from the tea and spices. Sugar is added to the tea concentrate to taste. Meanwhile, milk is heated carefully just to steaming—avoiding boiling—before being frothed vigorously with a whisk or handheld frother to create light foam.
The warm, sweetened chai concentrate and foamed milk are combined in an 8-ounce mug, layering milk and foam for a pleasant texture and taste balance. A sprinkle of cinnamon on top is optional for an extra touch of spice and aroma.
Adjust the sugar amount if you prefer a less sweet drink, starting with one teaspoon and increasing as desired. This recipe yields a single serving; doubling or scaling is simple for larger portions.
