Easy Edamame
Easy Edamame offers a simple preparation of frozen edamame pods boiled in salted water until tender and bright green. Sprinkled with flaked sea salt, these pods make a straightforward snack or appetizer notable for their fresh, slightly sweet flavor and firm, poppable texture.
Ingredients
- 1 bag edamame in pods, frozen
- 4 Tablespoons kosher salt
- ½-1 teaspoon sea salt for serving, flaked
Instructions
- Add kosher salt to a large pot of water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling add the frozen edamame to the water. Cook until bright green and tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Drain and place edamame in a bowl. Sprinkle with flaked sea salt and serve warm.
Notes
- Leftover cooked edamame can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
