Easy Edamame
Description
This recipe requires only frozen edamame in the pod, kosher salt for boiling, and optional flaked sea salt for serving. The edamame is cooked in salted boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes until tender but still retaining a slight firmness and vibrant green color.
After draining, the pods are served warm with a sprinkle of flaked sea salt that enhances their natural flavor and adds a crunchy seasoning contrast. The method emphasizes not overcooking to keep texture appealing.
Easy Edamame is convenient as a healthy snack or side and can be stored refrigerated for up to one week in an airtight container, making it practical for meal prepping or quick eating. It pairs well with a variety of meals or can be eaten by itself for a protein-rich nibble.
