Ingredients
- 1 slice white bread
- ½ TBS salted butter soft enough to butter bread
- 1 TBS rainbow nonpareils (sprinkles)
Instructions
- Butter the slice of bread on one side of the bread (the top). You'll only butter one side, not both.
- Cut the bread in half diagonally and cut off the crusts (if desired). Alternately, you could use cookie cutters to cut a fun shape out of the bread instead.
- Spread the sprinkles across the top of the cut bread and press them down gently until the entire slice of bread is covered.
- Enjoy immediately or within a few hours!
Cup of Yum
Notes
- Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes that match the theme of your party! Or for traditional Australian fairy bread, cut off the crusts and cut it in half diagonally to get triangle pieces.
- Make it the day you’re planning to eat it. It doesn’t store overnight very well, honestly not even more than a few hours. It’s super simple to make, so I recommend making it within a few hours of serving.
- Use European or New Zealand butter for the best taste. Anything that uses real butter in my book is delicious!
