Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking the beef

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Drain any excess fat.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with milk to create a smooth sauce.
  5. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture. Repeat with another layer of potatoes and the remaining beef mixture.
  6. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the layers. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving.
