Easy Homemade Garlic Butter

Savory garlic butter is very easy to make at home in less than 10 minutes with just 3 ingredients. Butter is flavored with minced garlic and parsley. Use it to flavor bread, roast, vegetables, or even stir it with pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick salted butter softened at room temperature
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley finely chopped or chives

  1. Before you start, you need softened butter. Leave the butter in a bowl on the counter at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
  2. Add softened butter, minced garlic, and finely chopped parsley into a bowl.
  3. Mix it all together.
  4. Transfer to a small jar.
  5. Store in refrigerator.
  6. Spread it generously on a baguette and bake it for 1-2 minutes to make garlic bread, spoon a dollop over pork roast or beef, on top of baked potatoes, stir with hot pasta.

  • If you use unsalted butter do add ½ teaspoon of salt to the butter to season it.
  • To soften butter, leave the butter in a bowl on the counter at room temperature for at least 1 hour. 
  • If you are a garlic lover you can increase the amount of garlic in the recipe. Alternatively, you can roast whole garlic cloves in aluminum foil in the oven, then smash roasted garlic and use it in butter.
