Easy Homemade Limeade

Sweet, tangy homemade limeade from fresh limes and simple syrup.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 tsp lime zest about 3 limes
  • ice

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Heat the sugar and 2 cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Let cool completely. 
  3. Add the lime juice and lime zest to the cooled sugar water. 
  4. Combine the sugar lime mixture with the remaining 4 cups of water. 
  5. Serve over ice.
