Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts salted
  • 2 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt.
  3. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring frequently until the mixture begins to boil.
  4. Add in the peanuts and a candy thermometer, continuing to boil until temperature reaches 300 degrees F.
  5. Stir in the butter and baking soda.
  6. Pour the mixture onto the parchment paper and smooth into a thin layer.
  7. Allow the brittle to cool and harden before using a rubber mallet to break it into small pieces. Enjoy!
