Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons instant dry yeast
- 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups warm water (100 to 110 degrees F)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine 1 1/2 tablespoons instant dry yeast, 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 2 cups warm water, 3 tablespoons olive oil, and 5 cups all-purpose flour.
- Knead on low until dough starts to come together. Continue kneading until the dough forms a nice, soft dough ball and the sides of the bowl are clean. Add more flour if needed to achieve a soft, smooth dough.
- Transfer to a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 90 minutes, until double in size.
- Divide the dough into four equal pieces and roll out into pizza crusts.
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Place crust on a lightly greased baking sheet or pizza pan, or dust the pan with a light layer of cornmeal to prevent sticking.
- Top with desired sauce, cheese, and other toppings.
- Bake in a 500℉ oven until cheese is bubbly and browned, about 10 to 15 minutes.
