Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion minced
- 8 cloves garlic 2 minced, 6 whole
- 1 lb beef minced
- 2 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
- 56 oz canned whole tomatoes two typical 28oz cans
- 1/2 cup red wine optional
Instructions
- Add olive oil to the Instant Pot and switch on to the "saute" setting.
- When oil is hot, add the onions and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the sliced garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring constantly.
- Add the minced beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Turn off sauté setting.
- Add garlic cloves, seasoning, tomato paste, whole tomatoes, and red wine (if you're using it). Secure lid and turn on "meat/stew" setting and cook for 10 minutes.
- Natural release.
