Ingredients
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 3-½ cups boiling water
- ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes , chopped
- 1 tablespoon knorr chicken flavor bouillon
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 3 tablespoons butter or extra virgin olive oil
- 1 small bunch of cilantro , chopped
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a 3-quart saucier over medium heat. Stir in the onion, decrease the heat to low, and sweat until the onion is translucent and aromatic for 3 to 4 minutes. Increase the heat to medium and add the rice.
- Cook, frequently stirring, for another 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the knorr chicken flavor bouillon and pepper to taste, and add the warm water. Add the minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook for 7 to 12 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed. Remove the Italian Herb Rice from heat and leave the pan covered for 5 minutes.
