Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef 80% lean for juiciness
  • 1 white onion finely grated
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 2 tablespoon gluten-free Worcestershire sauce*
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free soy sauce*
  • 2 tablespoon chives chopped
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Prepare the beef mixture: In a large bowl, combine all the burger ingredients. Gently mix with your hands until the ingredients are just combined to avoid tough burgers.
  2. Form the patties: Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾-inch thick. Press firmly when forming the patties. Then, using your thumb, make a small indent in the center of each patty. This will help prevent the burgers from puffing up during cooking.
  3. Cook the burgers: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium-well.If cooking on the stove: Heat a nonstick or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Rest and serve: Allow the burgers to rest for 2-3 minutes before serving. This helps the burgers retain their juiciness. Serve on gluten-free buns with your favorite toppings.
