Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe
Fresh sweet peaches never tasted so good than in this easy peach cobbler recipe! A delicious combination of fresh peach slices, warm cinnamon, and a golden brown homemade topping. Pairing this warm peach dessert with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream makes one of our favorite treats.

Ingredients
For the Peach Layer
- 6 cups fresh peaches sliced (about 7 medium peaches)
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Cobbler Topping
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 tablespoons cold butter diced
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup coarse sugar or turbinado sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375° F and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Lightly stir to coat the peaches evenly.
- In a separate bowl, add the mix flour, sugar, and baking powder and mix together.
- Add the diced cold butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers) to blend the butter into the flour . ( until the butter is about pea size).
- In a small bowl, add the milk and vanilla extract and mix together.
- Pour the milk into the dry ingredients and stir until a crumbly dough is formed.
- Using a slotted spoon to remove the peaches from their juices, transfer the peach to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Discard the peach juices.
- Sprinkle the cobbler topping all of over the top of the peaches evenly
- Then top with coarse sugar or turbinado sugar all over the cobbler topping.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the peach filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
- Remove the peach cobbler from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of fresh whipped cream.

Notes
- Use thawed frozen or canned peaches that have been drained and patted dry with paper towels.
- Cornstarch helps thicken the peach layer so the cobbler isn’t too wet.
- Use gluten free flour if needed. I love Bob's Red Mill One-to-One flour
- Use any milk of choice. or a non-dairy milk like almond milk, oat milk or soy milk.
- Coarse or turbinado sugar adds a delicious crunch on top of the cobbler.
