EASY Ranch Chicken Tacos
These ranch chicken tacos use bite-sized chicken breast pieces seasoned with taco spices and cooked with ranch dressing to create a rich, creamy filling. Served in flour tortillas or taco shells, the tacos are topped with classic additions like lettuce, tomato, shredded cheddar cheese, and avocado. The ranch dressing in the cooking process adds moisture and flavor, resulting in tender, well-coated chicken perfect for easy homemade tacos.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1.25 ounces taco seasoning (2 tablespoons homemade)
- ½ cup ranch dressing
- 8 flour tortillas or hard taco shells, soft taco
Toppings

- lettuce shredded
- tomato diced
- cheddar cheese shredded
- avocado chopped
Instructions
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil to the pan.
- Once the oil is hot, add the chopped chicken and cook until browned and no longer pink inside.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the chicken. DO NOT add water!
- Stir the chicken. Cook for 5 minutes until the taco seasoning coats the chicken and sticks to the pieces.
- Add the ranch dressing and stir until well combined. Cook for another 3 minutes
- Fill the tortillas or taco shells with chicken. We like to top our tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a little drizzle of ranch dressing. Feel free to add any taco toppings you enjoy!
Notes
- For a lower-carb version, skip the tortillas and serve the chicken and toppings over chopped lettuce as a taco salad.
- This recipe makes enough chicken for four servings, suitable for approximately four tacos or salads.
