Easy Sausage Rolls

These super Easy Sausage Rolls have just 3 ingredients and only take 5 minutes to prepare. A sheet of puff pastry, your favourite sausages and then an egg to make them all golden and crispy.

Ingredients

  • 375 g puff pastry
  • 4 sausages
  • 1 egg whisked

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C(fan)/350°F/Gas 4.
  2. Take 375 g Puff pastry and slice lengthways into 4 strips.
  3. Remove the meat from 4 Sausages and place them in the centre of each strip of pastry.
  4. Fold one side over the sausage meat and using a fork, crimp the edge all the way down.
  5. Slice each strip into 9 pieces.
  6. Put the individual sausage rolls on baking trays and brush with 1 Egg. Put in the oven for 25 minutes, until they are cooked through.

Notes

  • We used store bought pastry, however you make your own if you wanted to save money.
  • You can use your favourite sausages in this recipe, and even use veggie and vegan sausages.
  • Add extra flavour by using sausages with plenty of herbs and seasoning.
  • Don't add too much sausage meat to each strip of pastry, as you will struggle to close the roll.
  • Add some extra flavour with a thin layer or chutney before you put the sausages on the pastry.
  • You could sprinkle these with sesame seeds after the egg wash.
